May 2012

We are happy to inform you that the deliveries of the first CH-77 Ranabot models have begun approximately a month ago. Our kind clients, who have trusted us will soon be able to enjoy the performances of our last product. The deliveries have started a month ago in Italy and also our foreign partners are getting ready to welcome the last born of Ch-7 Helicopters. In fact, last week took place the first course to habilitate our French and Czech dealers to the assembly and construction of the Ch-77 Ranabot. The second course which will be held in a short time will train our dealers and service centers in the regulation, adjustment and testing of the Ch-77. These coursesare essential in order to habilitate the dealer to the certification of the product and therefor declare it suitable for flying in compliance with the law. The authorized dealer is in fact the only responsible for the certification of the product according to the law in force in the country of use of the helicopter. The newborn from Ch-7 Helicopters is equipped with the new EPA POWER SA-R914-1400 engine with a 130 HP equipped with intercooler system. In the first 30 hours of flight realized by the customer this engine has shown a consumption equivalent to the 1.200 cc engine with a considerable reserve of power.

New main rotor blades  Charlie 2

The new main rotor blades kit CH7  Kompress Charlie 2 and CH77 Ranabot is now available. These new blades represent an important step forward in the technology of our Kompress family because they bring great improvements in multiple fields. Thanks to its new design and a shape that needs less incidence, these new blades bring better speed performances and in particular better performances at high altitudes. In fact this blades kit allows you to maintain high altitudes staying at the same (or even greater) speeds that can be reached at SEA LEVEL. In addition to speed performances improvements these blades also reduce the consumption at high speed which improves the flight autonomy. Furthermore the new design brings a sensible reduction of the vibrations due to the main rotor, this increases the cabin inflight comfort. These new blades have also been designed to be used on our whole  CH7 Kompress family. The substitution of the blade kit includes the substitution of the main hub and needs to be realized with the supervision of one of our dealers or authorized service center.

FIRST CLASS 6 HELICOPTER REGISTERED IN FRANCE

After many year of dialog and collaboration between Ch-7 Helicopters Heli-Sport of Torino, AlixaSarl ( dealer CH-7 France), the DGAC (French aeronautical authority), and french ULM federation (FFPLUM) the French ULM class 6 has been finally launched. The class 6 regroups ultralight helicopters such as Ch-7 Kompress and Ch-7 Ranabot that will now be able to be registered in France. The creation of this class is the result of a 6 month experimental phase which has been brilianty passed thanks to our Ch-7 Kompress Charlie. Once the class officially open, 2 helicopters have obtained their french registration : one is a Kompress Charlie property of AlixaSarl and registered 04FP and the other aKompress Charlie 2 . Following the creation of ULM class 6 by the DGAC and FFPLUM, Ch-7 Helicopters Heli-Sport has held a piloting from the back seat training course. This course took place in France and was necessary because the FFPLUM used Ch-7 helicopters to organize a 4 day session of training for new ULM class 6 pilots and instructors. As written in the pilot’s manual, regardless of the pilot’s official qualification, Ch-7 requires that a training course must be taken in order to be legally allowed to pilot from the back seat. For this reason PierluigiBarbero, Ch-7 expert pilot, held a free of charge course for two instructor pilots selected by the DGAC. This course took place at the Aspres airport, near Gap, France, in collaboration with the FFPLUM and our French dealer Matthieu de Quillacq who as kindly put at disposal two helicopters to do the course. Following this course, 2 ULM class 6 instructors have been enabled to issue ULM class 6 certificates on CH-7 Kompress. These two instructors are Mr. Charles Javornik and Mr. HuguesTauziede. During the training days organized by the FFPLUM and DGAC have been issued several pilot and instructor certificates for the ULM class 6. These new instructors, in order to be legally authorized to give flying lessons on CH-7 Kompress, will have to take the same back seating piloting course at an authorized CH-7 organisation. At the moment these organisations are Ch-7 Service in Asti, Italy and AlixaSarl, Barcelonette, France.

New Landing Spotlights system

New Landing Spotlights system The new system Landing Spotlights adds elegance, convenience and safety to your helicopter. This system is useful for two main reasons : to signal the landing procedure and in case of night flight to illuminate the landing area or the selected airfield. In case of a night landing, the two led spotlights guarantee an excellent lighting of the landing zone, allowing you to maneuver in perfectly safe conditions. To install this new element on your Ch-7 helicopter we recommend you to be assisted by specialists for the electrical connection as well as the removal of a part of the windshield Plexiglas. The total added weight of the kit is only 0,8 kilograms. The price of the LSL kit can be found on our website in the configuration/optional section of your helicopter model.

Equipment for disabled pilots

Recently Ch-7 Helicopters, thanks to a good relationship with the association of disabled pilots “BaroniRotti”, has prepared a special product for one or our most passionate clients. This client, Philippe, licensed pilot and owner of a Kompress Charlie 2, turned to our service section after a very serious  motorcycle accident in order to adapt his helicopter to disabled piloting. For that we have modified the tail rotor commands that can now be activated through the cyclic command and no more throughthe pedals. We have also modified the cabin that has now an easier access. His Kompress Charlie 2 has then been equipped with a basket for transporting his wheelchair and can now be completely autonomous. Finally Philippe has followed a 10 hour course in order to adapt to the new commands and can now practice his great passion in a completely independent way!

Radiator Retrofit Kit installable on all Kompress and Charlie versions The Helisport Charlie 2 and Ranabot CH77 helicopters are equipped with ultra-efficient cooling systems that use a single radiator for the cooling liquid coupled to a heat exchanger for the oil: The system was designed to meet a variety of different requirements: to be efficient in very hot as well as very cold places, thanks to a dual thermostat and without the need for a partialiser system or flaps, meaning that you can go from 40°C in Cote d'Azur to -20°C on Mont Blanc while maintaining optimal operating temperature; you gain useful payload capacity because it weighs fully 3,5 kg less than the previous system; you can reduce the time required to reach operational oil temperatures in winter, only 5 minutes required to reach the 50°C minimum specified for take-off.
